Trends we won't be wearing

There are plenty of collections to salivate over on runways around the world at the moment, but in a bid to move ahead of the fashion pack designers sometimes fail to hit the mark.

One such offender was 'JOOP!JEANS' this week at 'Fashionweek Berlin Spring Summer 2009' in Berlin.

Nobody was looking at the clothes because of the outlandish accessories.

Models were sent down the catwalk with bright pink plastic lampshades on their heads, followed closely by models in latex knee-high socks and helium balloons as hairpieces.

Another trend (from the same show) that probably won't be making it to the high street - knicker-flashing dresses.

Finally Italian designer Curiel had models stomping down the runway in see-through plastic boots - they look nice - but are a little impractical - how good would they look with Christmas novelty socks underneath? (stuff.co.nz)
